Our journey began at the UCSF Health Center for Digital Health Innovation where we dedicated years to applying a product mindset and human-centered design to enhance healthcare delivery.  Although our teams achieved remarkable results, we couldn't ignore the sluggish pace at which health systems seemed to embrace technological advancements to improve care and operations.

Every health system spends significant resources towards identifying challenges, conducting research, and selecting solutions. This is followed by years of piloting, implementing, and refining processes, tools, and metrics to tackle these challenges. This is unsustainable. Healthcare industry's economics are changing rapidly, demanding a more efficient and cost-effective alternative.

Leap Labs was born out of a belief that there must be a better way. Our mission is clear - to help health systems accelerate innovation fivefold while ensuring a tenfold return on their investments. We will foster and facilitate collaboration among health systems with Leap Labs' "Innovation Lab as a Service".
